First Generation vs Second Generation

First or second generation? Definitely the first one. My answer may be biased on this one since I have grown to love the first one and also since they are the "original" one. But there are also other reasons why the I prefer the first generation over the second

I don't hate or dislike the second generation, it's just that series 3 didn't really live up to my expectations. I was disappointed with it because the season felt like 's0-s0' and was really unimpressed with the season finale which didn't felt like a finale in the first place. Series 3 also forgot one major element which Skins in the first place is really known for especially in Series 1: Comedy. I was really disappointed that series 3 hugely lack in this because that was one of the reasons why I fell in love with the show. Instead it focused more on the relationships in the second generation showing how each couple can't be together because of this and that. It followed the love triangle/s all throughout the season which I dind't find effective and found it draggy instead. I also find it a bit weird how all of them are suddenly friends and formed this tight-knit group as early as episode 2 or 3 when they only met each other for the first time in the first episode.

Hopefully series 4 will be better this time and will focus on the other aspects of the show and not just on one thing. Lastly, I hope that it will not forget to make me laugh. See you in January.
